On Friday, voters in Cardiff North will be able to challenge the politicians vying to be their AM on what they would do to tackle climate change.
From 7.30pm in Llanishen Leisure Centre, Ben Foday of Plaid Cymru, Julie Morgan for Labour, Lynne Hudson of the Conservatives and Matt Smith of the Liberal Democrats will be facing questions from their voters.
The event will be chaired by Anne Meikle, Head of WWF Cymru and has been organised by Stop Climate Chaos Cymru to draw attention to their proposals for action on climate change in their report “Cutting Carbon: Creating Jobs“.
The report highlights how policies aimed at tackling climate change can benefit Wales in tough economic times. The report’s key recommendations states that 20,000 jobs can be created as part of a home energy refurbishment programme which would, at the same time, cut millions of tons of carbon and lift thousands of households out of poverty.
