As we go back to the chocolate, cakes or whatever we gave up for Lent, most of us will be hoping we’ve permanently reduced our reliance on bad habits.  At Stop Climate Chaos Cymru, we & our partners at Tearfund are hoping that those who did a carbonfast for Lent will try to sustain their reduced carbon lifestyle.

At the start of Lent, the ‘carbon-fasters’ were encouraged to measure their carbon footprint before receiving daily lifestyle and political actions to take over the period of Lent such as ‘get involved in community lending’ or ‘have a meatless monday’.

The carbon-fast ended on Easter weekend with a plea for people to continue with their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and support the Climate Justice Fund – supporting people living in the poorest areas of the world to respond to the effects of climate change.
